Hi I recently received a GW690 (original). My first roll I only got about 5 images, the first one starting where the third one should be roughly. There's also about 2 inches of space between frames. Also it advances normally til about 4th frame, then the first stroke is good, the second stroke is short.
I ran a second roll with the same results, this time I made sure it was set to "8" at the top.
I've run a test roll through and sometimes it seems fine, other times it seems like it's advancing too much per frame. Any thoughts? Should I return it?

It seems like if i advance it very slowly, it stops at the correct place. Is that normal? Does everyone have to advance slowly?

No it’s not normal.

Thanks, it does seem to be consistently advancing (keeping the door open, holding down the switch) stopping the numbers of the paper at roughly the same place if i advance deliberately. I guess I'll return it. nice image results though.
