Are the GW690 lenses overrated? I hear good things about them, but then I read about poor performance on resolution targets.... they seem to be rather mediocre in the rez department. Now I know there's more to a good lens than resolution, but still, I find these very-average rez tests to be surprising, considering the reputation of the lens.
GSW690 65mm lens is very good for landscapes / cityscapes (I don't shoot resolution targets), sharp with good contrast and color reproduction.

"I don't shoot resolution targets." You do of course, landscapes and cityscapes, two subjects with lots of fine detail that, depending on the degree of enlargement desired, require lenses capable of high resolution. If you like what the camera is producing for you in the way of an image, that's great. My question had to do with how Fuji lenses compare with other lenses of known good resolution. Short of bringing a dozen cameras and tripods along on a shoot, the other way to compare is to shoot resolution charts.

i shoot both the 90 and 65mm fuji cameras. they are both excellent. I would say that the 65mm lens is as good as my mamiya 6 50mm. now the size of the film matters, but I love both and consider them pretty much equals.
