Well-known
Having owned a GR and GR II, I loved having the snap focus distance shortcut assigned to the ADJ Level settings or just a direct shortcut to it via a function button.
The GXR's implementation of snap focus distance adjustment is not as intuitive or customizable as the GR, however, there is indeed a shortcut to it. I don't know what took me so long to discover it, and I'm kicking myself for not having read this section of the manual in more detail when I got the A12 28mm module.
Yes, this shortcut is clearly stated in the manual :bang:
In short, while in Snap focus mode, simply hold down on the the macro (flower) button and rotate the up/down wheel on the top plate. This allows you to toggle the snap focus distance without going to the menu. This is hugely beneficial to those making pre/zone focus adjustments on the fly.
So my street setup is as follows:
Full Press Snap > ON (allows Snap even while in AF mode)
Set FN Button 1 > AF/SNAP (toggle between AF mode and Snap mode)
ADJ Direct ISO Control > ON (direct ISO change with ADJ wheel on rear)
