I just got mine as well -- feels really solidly built, and the lenses snap into place really well. Using the focus peaking with the EVF is really really handy.

ive been thinking of gettting one of these, does the electronic viewfinder attatchment show the view through the M mount lenses as a SLR would?

Not really, no. The resolution of the LCD won't come close to what you can see through an SLR.

That's what the focus peaking is for -- it highlights edge detail using high-contrast edges so you can see your plane of focus. It's actually really rapid, and I've been using it fairly exclusively with the A12 28mm module. It's similar to using an RF in a way: the actions feel familar.

The EVF is a necessity however, the rear LCD isn't very handy for composing in daylight.

Yes it does. VF shows what the sensor sees. Unlike DSLR you are viewing at actual aperture.

You're both right. The EVF is not as detailed as an optical viewfinder on an SLR (though you can magnify it). However manual focusing with an SLR can be difficult as well (hence the popularity of split rangefinder spots at the center of many manual focus SLR screens. The EVF is pretty good.

The EVF will show what the lens sees like an SLR. And it will show it at actual aperture but with the sensor/LCD compensating for the reduced light at smaller apertures. You will see the DOF however which is useful, though I' m not sure how well you can see it with the reduced resolution. I always had trouble interpreting the DOF preview on manual-focus SLRs. Maybe not enough practice.
