Not a hack. Rough prototype.
Looks like you guys will eventually have your discount digital m-mount.
And the why. Well, it'll be one more customer to buy the camera. Even if they only bought the GXR and the M-mount sensor cartridge.
Definitely more of a rough mockup or intentional fake than a prototype. There are two major telltales:
1. No lens mount release button.
2. The body is too thin to allow an M-mount flange to be mounted flush to the face of the module. With the mounting for the interchangeable module between the sensor and the LCD, the distance from the back of the camera to the sensor would be greater than that of an E-P1 or GF-1. This would mean that the M-mount flange would be further from the back of the camera than it is on a m4/3 body plus M adapter. This would result in a 5-15mm tube extending from the face of the module to the M-flange.
Trouble is it would be just *one* more customer. 😉Not a hack. Rough prototype.

I wonder about people who spend their time making fake images of fake cameras. Seems like such a sad use of one's time.
....have a 'dark slide' -.....that once I take the lens off the sensor is exposed and vulnerable.

Interesting enough - this information also appeared on the news page of the dpreview.com but it was taken down after a short time. This does not add to credibility of the M mount GRX I guess ...
