GXR new info, m mount?

At least one source of these mock-ups is a Japanese (print) magazine from earlier this year, which had several different pics of tasty M lenses on Ricoh GXR bodies, including some 'in use' by photographers. - I think these originated from the mag, not Ricoh, but at least they are putting pressure on the company to deliver such, by showing the need (or rather desire) - of course, nothing less than a full- frame sensor will do (?).

An interesting observation is the letter in front of the new zoom module, "P". Now the S seems to mean 1/1.7 and the A seems to mean APS-C (not sure if it's Canon or Everyone else), what could P mean? Perhaps M4/3 size sensor?

Thoughts?

I originally thought they'd call it C for CMOS or something. But my current theory:
A - APS-C (I prefer to think it stands for Awesome)
S - Small 1/1.7
P - Puny 1/2.2

Doesn't look quite right. Some kind of hack? But the bigger question is, why? Interchangeable lenses kind of defeat the concept.

The concept is to allow you to shoot with various system combinations all with the same body and user interface. The concept isn't to "rip people off with lens and soon-to-be-obsolete sensors" (although some people think that's what it is hehe). Rather, the concept is to offer a system of great versatility.

Using the lens/sensor combo module offers some benefits to optimized processing. I don't think this is just marketing nonsense. Think about how Leica had to tweak the sensor and microlens design to get the M9 to work well with existing M lenses. The lens/sensor combos allow Ricoh to do this, as needed, to accommodate their lens design.

If these mount modules come to production, then there will be something to offer the people seeking optimized IQ (the optimized lens/sensor modules) and something to offer people who value playing with a variety of lenses (the mount/sensor modules).
