I thought it was something else.

If I wear a brand, it'll be because they had to pay me to do it.

Thanks for the tip anyway!

Ha. I went in about a month ago asking if they had the large black hoodie and they said they were out. Damn. I should have bought one years ago.

Christ, I would think nothing would say "bozo" better than walking around with a camera logo sweatshirt.

edward, always a kind or positive thing to say...

how does this smart ass remark add to the harmony of this site?
joe

I wonder if there ever are people that complain about dumb ass remarks

I agree with Francisco. Although, I did pay tens of thousands of dollars to go to college and I wear a few of their t-shirts once in a while; I gotta start sending them endorsement bills. ;)

Does nobody here have a sense of humor?

Is it possible to make a funny remark without offending someone's sensibilities?

Yes, I think it's foolish to walk around with a camera strap with a huge CANON or NIKON on it, or to wear a LEICA or CALVIN KLEIN t-shirt, or to list every single piece of equipment in your sig, for that matter.

I'm not stopping anyone from doing so if they feel like it, but why censure someone who makes a harmless contradiction to the norm?

maybe it's HOW you say it?

and i honestly don't think it's all that funny.

Actually, they are very nice shirts. Maybe B&H will give me one as a reward for being a loyal customer so many years..HA

Robert Crumb did this whole cartoon on peol;e who walk around with corporate logos on their backwards baseball caps, the rear of their pants and their underwear. I thought it was hysterical.

Elmore Leonard wrote this very humorous essay about people with clothing with "words" on them.

I suppose it's how you view life.

I find it bizarre that grown men want to wear clothing with the names of camera companies on them. I suppose that actually dangling the camera on their neck doesn't identify them sufficiently.

i don't disagree with you.
i just don't have a need to call people bozos.

but i do enjoy a good 'smart ass' occasionally ;)

joe

good god...how bout a little warning for those at work :D

I dont see why one would be a bozo for wearing a company logo that they respect...if the hoodie is nice quality and reasonably priced...

Personally, I only weave my own clothes and use pinhole cameras that use film created from natural organic products...felch that corporate america

I thought 'bozo' was a coloquialism for 'clown' ... if so I don't really see the problem with Edward's post. He came in a trifle abruptly agreed but I'm afraid brand name clothing repulses me equally. :)

it's fine to say that you are repulsed.
it's not ok to call other folks names.
i understand a 'heat of the moment' comment but there is no need for rudeness just for the sake of being rude.

we are getting more and more comments from the members here that rff is becoming more and more like other rude sites.
i'd like for that not to happen.

Thanks for deleting the post Joe ... would it be too much to ask to delete the reference to it in the other response? :))

done.

just an fyi...both rover and i have been spending less time here because of work, in my case some of my job duties have changed and i'm not near a computer for long blocks of time - this has impact on my daytime moderating.

I have one of these sweatshirts in black and am proud to wear it. Guess I'm just a bozo ;-p

B&H sell them in their Used Dept at these same prices so they are available on the B&H website.

They are very nice shirts and most people can't even pronounce "E. Leitz" every once in a while I get a knowing nod from someone who does.
