Ha ha, here is my kind of auction....

"Ok, so this is a great lens, works perfect other than the fact that i took it apart one night and couldn't get it back together (typical guy thing) So if you know about lenses and can put it back together your gain my loss."

I'm struggling for a polite comment on this one... the expression "dumb-a__ !" keeps coming to mind... 🙄

( Been there, done that... try not to do it anymore... 😛 )

He can't get that IIIf back together? Loser. Looks like somebody got a good deal on a very nice specimen. OK, just one photo to go by, but it's large. I see no scratches or brassing at all.

Fortunately (?) I learned to recognize some of my limitations years ago, as to what I should / should-not try to work-on...

Watches, HO trains, cameras, lenses, are all generally to small and delicate for my big ham-hands.

For the most part, these days I avoid working on anything smaller than a steam locomotive...

Ha...I've had a disassembled Nikon 80-200/2.8 sitting on my project shelf for about a year. To be fair though, it was almost free...just covered in fungus.

edit: oh, and my CV 35/1.7 no longer has click stops...oops!
