half frame suggestions

Kat,
well done, just one word to the wise, make sure the Agat comes with a take-up spool, mine didn't and I have to use it casette to casette. Also make sure you don't lose the damned thing, it just drops out!!
Happy shooting!!

Hehe, thanks for the tip, I made a point of asking the seller if the spool came with it (I also wanted a lens cap and strap). This is my first ebay buy using my account (used to borrow my sis' coz we didn't have paypal where I'm at), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I want to try that casette to casette thing, that was partly why I picked out an 18K (though I hear the removable spool can be a pain to use and the orange Agat 18s with their clear caps sure are pretty). I hear the rewind lever isn't the sturdiest around, so I wanted an option in case it gets broken.

Speaking of Agat colors, I saw red ones in ruscamera.net, but never in ebay or anywhere else. They look really cute.

You are a naughty girl Kat, ;) As I gave away my old one, thanks to your encouragement I have just bought a brand new Agat 18 on e-bay from a dealer I've used before. I understand the filter size is 22mm screw, can anyone out there confirm this????I have a source for odd filters and would like to get a pale yellow for the Agat.
I had heard about the weak rewind crank, but a friend said they are ok unless you crank it like a pepper mill!!!! and my old one was OK.
BTW, Doris is the name of my mother in law:eek: AAAAAAAAARGH!!

In my opinion and except for the highly prized Leica 72 1/2-frame, the finest half-frame by far is the Olympus Pen-F...Here is a picture from a Japanese website:

I agree, here's a sample from mine (Pen-FT SLR, with "standard" lens, an F.Zuiko 38mm/1.8):

it's also good with black and white:

Bell & Howell Canon Dial 35

Bell & Howell Canon Dial 35

Hi there all

I accidently came across this thread while surfing for info on the Bell & Howell Canon Dial 35. So I decided to join. I have a definite weakness for cameras of all kinds. I own two 35mms, 1 digital, 1 half-frame, and 2 polaroids. I have to say that my favourite is my Polaroid SX-70. I think I will enjoy it here.

Anyway, even though some of you have not had luck on E-Bay, I thought I would share what I just posted on E-Bay... I know... it is shameless and blatent advertising here, but in my defense, I am new to E-Bay as well and could use all the help I can get.

Thanks for looking.

I have a Chaika 3 and a Yashica Samurai. Both are cool in different ways. I must say that the Chaika lens is very sharp. This is from january this year, using my Chaika.
