Hammerite(?) finish

Hi guys

I have a Voigtlander 28mm f1.9 Ultron, with the hammered (or Wrinkle?) effect hood.

I'd like to paint my vented hood (LH6, for 35 f2.5 skopar) the same.

Which paint should I use? Has anyone done this before?

Go to a hardware store / paint store with the parts you want to paint and let an expert help you. They will know which type of hammer tone paint will be compatible with the material and in particular how you will have to prep the surface in order for the paint to stay on there long term and avoid starting to chip.

Some dealers in vintage military vehicle parts sell black crinkle paint in a spray can.
