Minolta Flashmeter III in incident mode, or the RBSinTo-Thing-Between-the-Ears Incident Meter when I'm using meterless cameras.

No, w/ me it's the other way 'round. A handheld meter is faster. An on-camera meter is w/ your camera all the time though, so you won't be leaving the house w/o a meter. I'm so used to shooting cameras w/o meters that when I go shooting w/ a metered camera I'm always searching around for my meter throughout the day.

Well, I'm going to try shooting with my ipod light meter, just taking a reading once in a while and guessing exposure changes on the fly. This way I should get an idea of what hand held meters are like. If I do decide to buy a handheld, it will probably be a Sekonic
l-308, or a l-208 if I decide to go for a shoe mount.
