According to this link: http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/UK_photographers_call_for_Talbot_Day_news_294262.html The 11th of February is the 210th anniversary of the birth of William Henry Fox Talbot. And if you say "Who?", you should hang your camera up in shame, for he was one of the pioneers - perhaps not quite as early as Niepce (spelling?) or Daguerre, but nonetheless a great to whom we all owe a great deal.
It's bit late if you are from the other side of the world (sorry, folks!), but is anyone else going to burn a little film in Fox Talbot's name? I've got a roll in my Vitomatic IIa, and a roll of 127 in my Purma Speed all ready to go in the morning...
