On July 29, 2003 Jorge registered as the first user of the Rangefinder Forum. News of this new site was posted at other photography sites, and shortly there after many of us came over for a look see, and ended up sticking around.
Today it seems to me that we have to say a happy birthday not only to our member, willmaes, but also to the RFF.
It has been a great year of discussion guys, thanks.

yes, it's hard to believe that it's been a year.
i had heard about the site from jorge who also has a home theatre site where he posted about his then new photo site.
rangefinders? i knew instantly i had found a new photo home.
i had stopped using slrs years ago and if i needed to i rented, begged or borrowed but the rf was all mine.
and once again, i want to say what a great bunch of people regularly visit this site. talented, smart, friendly, helpful and respectful.
and a great big thanks to jorge for sponsoring the site and offering a guiding hand.
i love this place.

I found this site by accident when looking for info on my newly aquired Contax IIa, 5 fixed lens RF's later I'm still here (this place is bad for the bank account ). Jorge has created an excellent venue to share our thoughts and pictures but it is the members who make this place so great. I have been part of other sites but none of them can compare to the genuiness of the people here, carry on RFF!

Happy Birthday both to RFF and to Willmaes. Wow, just doesn't seem like a year since Francisco alerted some in the PP&I forum, and I came to look. I like this place!
What great people come here. There is such a great amount of knowledge and experience here too. If there was ever a disparaging word here, I missed it (anybody else ever try to figure out why seldom was a disparaging word? :bang: ).
Anyway, Jorge, thanks for the forum (and the hats). Both are treasured.
