Here is a couple of shots from the SF dog show, I tried using your technique. Auto ISO max at 800, Fstop set at f2.8 for just about all the shots. No image manipulation outside of cropping and images were reduced to fit within 1024.

HI Biomed,

What viewfinder are you using? I am interested in getting the same kit you have with the 20mm f1.7 and want to compose shots with a traditional VF. Also does it have AF options? I plan on using f1.7 mostly and don't want to have my focus point always centered.

The VF is a VC35mm finder and seems to work fine. The CV 40mm may be a better choice. Just remember to use aperature priority or manual - in bright light, the camera tends to choose f/1.7. I like to use AP with f/5.6 and seem to get good results. I am still experimenting.

Thanks Mike. I just got it yesterday with the 20mm and I am really impressed with its performance and AF speed. I have also ordered the EVF as I am used to composing shots that way. I find it to have quite impressive low light abilities and I have actually used the flash with B&W and it makes for some interesting shots.

I found the 20/1.7 to be a very nice lens. Has anyone had good experiences with the zoom or other M4/3 lens?

I just got the EVF and I am finding it to be absolutely essential when shooting in the sunlight. The view screen on the back of the camera is fairly useless in sunlight and after fiddling with the menu you can get a decent image in the EVF. I have also found that with using the 20mm I have had to adjust EV more heavily than I had with some other cameras. Now I feel I have a good traveling kit with my MP w/ 35cron V4 and this little beauty.

I have both the 14-45 and the 20. The 20 is what stays on the camera by default. I find the zoom is actually pretty good. The kit zoom covers the range I use normally.

If you are hesitant, why not take a SD card into your local photo place that sells the camera and take some pictures with it. 🙂

I am waiting for their 14 f2.8 to be released right now.
