Happy Konica Hexar AF USers?

hmm...would you spend 450 bucks on a hexar af or sometihng else.

I have a f3 with a 55mm micro...and a contax g1

and a couple other cheapie cameras that i take in the canoe and stuff

Hmmm... interesting question. What kind of shooting do you do? The Hexar and the G1 will be somewhat redundant, so instead of owning both I would get more lenses for the G1 or Nikon.

I would buy film. Ultimately the camera is secondary. If you were looking for something entirely different from what you have like a panoramic camera or underwater camera, then it would make sense. But what is the Hexar going to do for you the G1 won't?

be black and silent....plus I want something new and different and I figure if I dont like the camera im sure someone on the site who has some money would be more than willing to buy the camera.

The other thing is i dont really want any other lenses for the G1. I like to keep things simple...1 lens no swapping. I have owned all the lenses for the G except the 16mm. I had my kit as the 28 45 90 for a bit but then narrowed it down to the 35 90 but then the 90 didnt get used often so now I just have the 35mm which I like. So i was thinking might as well get a fixed lens....so we will see I gues...the shutter speed is what scares me,...1/250 i dont know if its going to be enough.

This is where the phrase "buy one and give it a run" comes in. I next to never had a problem with the HAF's 1/250 top shutter speed, largely because I seldom felt compelled to load it with film faster than ISO 400, and usually used slower stuff to take advantage of that lens' crazy-sweet bokeh when wide open, or a stop or two down from it.

(Forget "Kodak Moments". What this camera will help inspire is closer to "Brassai Moments")
