I purchased this photo at a donation center near me on Long Island. It was framed, 11x14 print, in Princeton, WV. That is all that is written on it. I couldn't pass it up. However, going out on a bit of a stretch I was wondering if anyone has ever seen this picture? I certainly have not. I was trying to figure if this was just a nice family moment or if it was taken by someone of known status. I didn't want to take it out of the frame so I am unsure of what type of print it is. I have also tried to reach out to the framing company. I'm not hoping that this is some Antiques Roadshow million dollar find, I just figured I would throw it up here, maybe someone has seen it before and may know the photographer.

I just ran it through a reverse-image search that compared it to 41 billion online images; 0 matches.

That being said, I like it very much.

Looks to me like a nice amateur picture, probably taken by a friend of the couple. As to type of print, the clothing places it firmly in the period where anything but silver gelatin was very uncommon.

I'd be shocked if this was a famous shot- the girls face isn't visible and the horizon is crooked. It's a 'bad' photo! (But still charming!) And it looks too old to be a conceptual piece... 🙂 The mans wristwatch times it post WWI...

Every antique store I've ever been in has piles of old photos for sale. Just enjoy it as it is!

Let me clarify, as I stated before, I am not asking this question hoping that I had found some sort of goldmine / lost gem. People buy prints at art museums, during exhibitions, online, reproduced photos at various outlets. Newsrooms let go of their archives and small town photojournalist work winds up in various places. I was trying to see if it was seen by anyone before so that I could possibly put a name to the photo. I figured it was a stretch, as stated above.

I'm talking about possibilities of someone seeing this photo before it ended up in charity store.
Most likely it is from regular home. Photo from unknown amateur.
But maybe someone seen it on old fashion camera club gathering. In seventies.
Or it could be saved from garbage bin which was at low cost films studio. Or else from more special interest photography group, rather than just broadly known name.
