I don't recall ever reading about someone getting a repair done, by Epson or anyone else, apart from the DAG re-alignments. Has it happened yet, i.e. your camera was sent to Epson for a dead shutter and they fixed it and charged you? I'm just on the fence, and curious.
Thanks!

Yeah but on the other hand, has anyone got a broken RD1?

I posted this a few months ago, my RD-1 shutter died (after 13,000 exposures but while under warranty) and Epson did not fix it. They sent me a refurbished unit instead. Dunno what will happen now since I am no longer under warranty.

Have you contacted Epson? I am sure they will say send it in. Based on the refurbs they seem to have somewhat of a repair facility. From what I have read here they are not that great at fixing these.
