Has anyone Heard from Sherry Krauter lately

I received an email from her late on Friday, advising that the lens I'd sent her for cleaning was ready.

I haven't had extensive experience dealing w/ her, but she promptly answered my initial inquiry about getting the lens cleaned, too, via email. However, I also get the impression that she's extremely busy.

I received a lens back from her a couple months back. She's all-business and doesn't really do the customer support email thing.

If you sent a query that won't necessarily translate into business for her, she'll place you in the backburner. Otherwise, she's quick to reply, has a fast turnaround and her pricing is fair.

Now... if you want to talk to her, be ready: she lectures. Good thing: she also speaks our language and will talk to you about Leicas with gusto and enthusiasm!

I Emailed her yesterday and I expect her to return my Email when she has the time.

I really like her and she knows her business. I suspect that her response time is directly related to her current work demands.

If she lectures, best listen.. she has some good insights.

She worked on two of my cameras last week (minor adjustments) and emailed me last night saying that she was ready to send them out to me (one week turnaround🙂.

She always has been very responsive to my emails. Looks like she deals with emails late at night. I often got a replay from her around 10pm.

I just got my black M4 back two weeks ago. She is helping care for a friend who has been in the hosptial. We spoke several times while she was working on my camera and it arrived in the mail exactly when she said it would (in fantastic shape BTW). Like aperture64 said, she is a night-ow. She has worked on all of my cameras since 1995 and never let me down, ever. Don't worry, if you send her something to work on, she'll fix it and get it back to you as quick as she can.

She's had my 35 lux asph for a basic CLA and coding since April 8th.

Sent her several e-mails inquiring as to the status, all I got was "I'll let you know when it's done"... I just wanted to know if she's waiting on the coding, if there have been any issues or anything. She quoted me 3-4 weeks turnaround before I sent the lens in.

I could have gotten the lens coded at Leica and gotten a "free" CLA that worked out to about the same cost but everyone told me Sherry was quicker, well my 90 Elmarit-M will go to Leica.
