Has anyone purchased from KB Camera?

Ordered a diopter from them over 2 months ago.
Now all i get is unanswered emails and voicemail!

Did you order online? I did that with them, and bought through their e*ay store, and never got a confirmation in either case. I called, and spoke to a woman who in both instances seemed surprised/unaware that there was an order pending. I received everything/anything I've ordered from them. They're not the fastest to ship, but it has always been wiithin a "respectable" time frame.

I got my Leica D2 and filter from them. Dealt with a nice guy on the phone who answered all my questions. Your problem sounds weird. I just checked the site. Looks like they may have moved to a new showroom. The number may have changed as well.

No they are in Washington state. A Leica Specialty Store.

That's very odd... Try contact Richard Osterling, the man in charge. I dealt with him three years ago, when I swapped my 1956 Summicron for a newer one. Smoothest operation ever... Go to their website and look for Richard's address. That's how I got in touch with him.

Sorry about your misfortune with them. It is, indeed, very out of character...

I believe that they are located in Bellingham. A small city/large town about an hour north of seattle.

I've just received a call from them and thay tell me the item is coming from Leica directly and I should receive it next week. Almost exactly 2 months from date of purchase.

I bought my 50mm F-2 Summar from them and at first I was not happy with it. They immediately offered to replace it. It also came with both front and rear caps though they were not listed in the auction and a really cool padded lens wrap made by Cannon that I now use with my Mamiya 210mm. I would buy from them again without hesitation.

I bought an MP from them and then later a Leica lens from a 'buy it now' auction at epay. Both transactions were great with good packaging and fast shipping. I wouldn't hesitate to buy something from them again.

Sounds like you had one of those purchases that sort of fell through the cracks- not usual I would say.
