Has anyone used Xpan lenses on a Nikon F-mount body like the D810 using an adapter?

I haven't been back on RFF since early 2012, so the "you last visited" box shows. It's probably been at least that long since I've used my Xpan II.

I'm thinking about what I want to do with it, and after looking around on Ebay, thinking about selling it, I wondered about this.

Possibly using my Nikon F-mount lenses on my Xpan, AND vice-verse. Anyone have any experience using adapters?

For instance, I'm really curious about the result of a Nikon 200-500mm lens @500mm in panoramic mode on the Xpan. Or my 24mm Nikon lens. Or my 30mm Xpan lens on my Nikon D810.

I have the whole Xpan kit, all three lenses.

Obviously, I'm reaching to think of new uses for equipment I'm strongly thinking about selling due to disuse and a need for better use of storage space and money. If I had more leisure time spending money, I would definitely be shelling out money to process the rolls of film. I no longer have that luxury, but I'm trying to talk myself into keeping this amazing camera. I never stopped loving the panoramic format.

Any insight, persuasion, or offers to buy welcome.

I'm unsure of the size of the image circle produced by Nikon lenses but I am doubtful they will cover the panoramic mode at infinity.

The diameter of the image circle would need to be over 60mm to cover the panoramic film of the Xpan. Of course, if you got an adapter to put an Xpan lens on a nikon, it could cover it. But putting a rangefinder lens on an SLR doesn't work because of the distance between the film plane and the lens...

How would you focus Nikon lenses on the Xpan? There would be no rangefinder coupling.

I too love my Xpan, and like the lenses on it so much that I was wondering if there were any adapters to use an Xpan lens on a Leica M240. I'd use the EVF to focus. But I have not seen any out there.
