Has Maserati alienated drivers?
Ready? Long live Leica! I'll never own one. I'm with all things, "a value shopper". I also think their camera bodies in the digital era no longer justify their price. But, like fine Swiss watches, did in the film era.
Butchya know what? I want all camera companies to survive/thrive. Leica is upmarket, always has been. Upmarket "anything" doesn't "alienate" me. I don't even understand this concept -- with cameras or "whatever".

Drivers? Renault didn't. They are in F1 and in Turkey plant. Maserf.., sorry, rat_i is boutique product. Alienated for drivers.
Someone recently posted at LUF M10 pictures thread - "you could use mobile phones instead".
Leica is for sure the pleasing item(s) to own. And for kind of using it. But. I don't know how Leica became almost eliminated from momentum in photography. Some older photogs in the Magnum left. Elsewhere...three film M photogs I'm aware of, one of them is more less known. Digital M. The same. The rest of us are nothing special from the rest of non Leica users.
Why here is no new HCB, GW, BG and so on? M10 is just as perfect and M4.
Price for used film M isn't this expensive. Price for used M8,9,240 isn't this much expensive either.

This is what I was trying to say. Few in the Magnum. Old ones. Here is it much to match from not so old ones.
If you will have your book on blurb or Amazon, I will get it. Here is really very few with digital M and pictures worth of the book. IMO. But maybe I miss something as big as the planet 🙂

Lise Sarfati started using digital Leicas because Kodachrome 200 was discontinued.
Peter Turnley uses an M10, too.
