Is there an IGNORE button for threads? I've long resisted the call of the 500, getting MF kicks elsewhere, but I don't think this thread will do much for my perseverance.

Yeah, thanks for starting this thread, OP. I couldn't resist the call and folded like a waist level finder. Here's an image from my first roll with the camera.

I always loved the sound and feel of operating my 500CM.

I focused and then took the camera down (i as holding it in a specific spot pressed against the window) locked the mirror up, then took the photo.
