Long time no see. It has been a very interesting winter - an adventure with a stray cat led to huge lymph nodes which looked like a relapse of the CLL, but which, I was certain, were bartonellosis ("cat scratch fever"). They have become much less tender and quite a bit smaller after the appropriate antibiotics, so I may yet chisel away at a few more of the films in my freezer. Let's celebrate with some still life/still alive flowers (500cm, Distagon 4/50, XP2 Super @ISO100, HC-110, X1 scans, cropped for printing):

finally purchased a 500 c/m with 50mm and a NC/2 finder in a great used camera shop in Victoria BC, where i live they don't exist any more, always wanted one now the prices have come down a bit. i now i see what everyone says about them, everything works like a Swiss watch and the finish and quality enough said. the focusing takes some getting used to much more throw but you can get the very fine focus. here are some quick hand held shots 1/3oth 1996 pan f d/76. compared to my Bronica EC a bit lighter and smaller.

The flowers I bought for my wife. I had to take them out to the back deck for photography before disposing of them.
