lots a places, lol
I cannot figure this out.

I am encouraged to get one for fool'n around w/o getting a Hasselblad camera as they seem w/in fool'n range. I know that they have their shutters w/in the lens, but I cannot see cable connections in pictures of them.

They have flash-connection port in the lens, cable release goes into the shutter button on the body. (At least with the 500 C / M)

The CF, CFi, or CFE lenses have the ability to "lock out" the shutter. The older C lenses you can not. They do make adapters to put them on 35mm cameras you just have to stop the lens down manually. To lock out the shutter you turn the shutter speed ring to the "F" setting. This is not really necessary to do as long as you don't bump the triggering mechanism on the lens mount. If you do, you need a screwdriver to cock the shutter back to open.
