Hasselblad SWC advice

While perusing my local second hand store today I saw two Hasselblads, one of them was a SWC with 38mm Biogon with back and a 1000f with Ektar 80mm 2.8. They were about 670 USD each and their bodies were well used and somewhat banged up looking though it all seemed to be fairly superficial. The glass seemed near pristine though I didn't dismount the lenses for a closer look.

Providing the SWC works well, is that a bargain? I notice SWCs go for well beyond 1000, though for examples that are in better condition. I'm also not really rolling in money at the moment, so if I did get it it would only really be to resell at a profit (though not without putting a few rolls through it first!).

What do you guys think?

The SWC goes for $2000 for a well used example.
The lens is awesome. Get it!

Provided the SWC works well, that is probably the lowest price anyone will have seen for any SWC by about a factor of two. The lens does not dismount.

Make sure the SWC shutter works reasonably well on all speeds, particularly the slow ones. Also check the lens - there were cases of some lenses getting scratched internally by a faulty shutter leaf. Else than that, and excluding lens damage, fungus, etc, SWC is a legend, and a working one without issues at this price, is a steal. Check if the VF is supplied, as it is a costly replacement. The 1000f has rather a collector's appeal, it would be very difficult to service, I imagine.

Yes, it comes with what looks to be the original VF.

I love the work I've seen with the camera. I definitely get the draw of it - I'd jump on it too at that price. Keep in mind that it was made for a while so prices vary... but that's a good one for any version in user condition.

Nice detective work - Yes you're totally right, it had a knob rather than a lever. I've found very little information about the difference between SW and SWC in terms of price, is the SW less valuable?

After seeing all these pics I'm worried I may end up just keeping it.

SW is worth about as much as a chrome lens SWC- you have to cock the shutter separately (which are around $900-$1400 these days)
The 1000F is not compatible with later Hasseblad lenses and is not that reliable- fun camera, though

Might it be a "Supreme Wide Angle" or "Super Wide"?
Do you have to cock the shutter on the lens before firing it?
