Not long ago thanks to my blog article I have received 4 rolls of ORWO that had been exposed in 1989 but had never been developed.
Some may say the quality is low but, please be tolerant to the film that was kept for 23 years under unknown conditions after exposing. 23 years for a colour film!! Wonder it has any visible images at all! When I was loading the film into developing tank I felt it was a little glued inside the cassette so I didn't expect any positive results from it.. Here are some scans that went out fine:

I gave the fist 24 frame film 12,5 min in the developer (data sheet recommended 10 minutes) the neg tuned out rather thin:

Pioneers!!! I was one of them once.

For the second film I gave 20 minutes to sit into the developer - got a nice modern looking negative.

I do like the colours on the nex two:

So, there was the retro. Have only scanned 12 frames out of 36 on the second roll + got two more undeveloped rolls in the fridge, so there will be more pics soon.

I used the old long ago expired ORWO chemicals for developing this.

Not bad at all, and indeed nicely retro. So you used expired ORWO chemistry as well? So it's not C-41 even?

Don't know how you scanned them, but wouldn't infrared cleaning help out here? Questions, questions...

Anyway, nicely done, I love this kind of 'photo-archeology'!

Great results and great photos ... but such serious looking people! 😀

These are the films I got in the mail. Have no idea why those people are so serious. May be they knew the film was going to sit for 23 years undeveloped..
