Just bought a Konica IIIa and don't want to mess it up! Can anyone point me to a manual (or a xerox of a manual) for it? Ditto for a good place to have it CLA'd. Are there any "gotcha's" I need to watch out for when using it?

I also want to hand carry it and would be happy for any advice about what would be an EXCELLENT wrist strap and where I could get one.

This is my first posting, though I've been spending entirely too much time in your company since learning of the Rangefinder Forum only a month or so ago. Kudos on the book — it's a LULU!

Oh, and I forgot about the CLA - you may want to contact Greg Weber (http://www.webercamera.com. He specializes in Konicas. I have spoken with him extensively about the Hexar RF, and he is very knowledgeable and helpful. I have to admit, I sent the camera to KM instead as it was still under warranty, but I have heard nothing but good recommendations about him. You may want to call him to see if he works on the classic Konica rangefinders.

Thanks, Ray — I've read Dante's article but the other stuff was new to me and VERY much appreciated! I'll probably spring for the reprinted manual and will definitely give Greg Weber a call. Thanks, too, for wanting to see some pics — I'll be happy to oblige, though it won't happen very quickly. Cheers,
Thomas
