has there been a battle between the 2 cv beasts done on rff yet?
memory is going...
memory is going...
That would be an interesting comparison. For me the 35mm would kick the 50's butt based on IQ!
But who knows?
i Beg to Differ .....!!!!
tried the 35 1.2 but it held no Magic for me though admittedly I have seen TONS of STELLAR work from lots of RFF members
I am waiting for Stephen to come back from Maui (arghhhh...holidays )
so I can have my 1.1 Nokton...I can feel it in my Bones..
it will be Magic !!
I don't feel that there's magic in either of these lenses Helen. For me the magic lies in a lens like my 50mm f1.2 Canon.
Yes, they are both fast, but comparing a 35 to a 50 seems to me like comparing Japanese food and Italian food. Which is better, more interesting, etc...? Depends on your taste...
The magic is in you, Helen.
The magic is in you, Helen.
Does Sound good that 1.2 canon....😎
but I do think the Nokton 1.1 has a Chance
its taken me awhile to warm up to her
but I feel I an seeing something that now Catches my EYE
and i am eager to EXPLORE....
Edit addition: P Lynn Miller has taken some EXCEPTIONAL noir -esque, low light photos w/ the 1.1
how comeyou never whisper sweet nothings like that to me rollie...
You wanna list?
😀
They render really differently. I like the 35/1.2 much better. I have a bunch of shots from both somewhere, but am working like mad until the end of this month when I go away for a couple of months.

I'd like to see a Cosina Voigtlander 28/1.4, that would make an excellent pair along with a CV 75/1.4.
