Thanks for that. I didn't know. Must take a closer look next time I load up.

Leigh,
the double roller in the rolleiflex ensures proper frame counter starting. When the film passes through it, it is thicker than the paper only, and this switches on the counter.
If you don't put the film through the rollers, your counter won't ever start.
That's why you don't have the double rollers on rolleicords or rollei T models, or very old rolleiflexes.
Thanks for that. I didn't know. Must take a closer look next time I load up.

This is probably the worst of them.
And this pic was nearly uneffected which was good because this bike was stunning!

Shots look good Keith. Scott tells me the Bessa III will reach me about the end of October. I'm looking forward to it, and to comparing the results with the Rolleiflex. Certainly the viewfinder and focussing will be better. The rest - we'll see!

Makes for very fast loading, I used to unlatch the bottom, attached to a flash bracket, and flip up the camera to swap film during a wedding.
Did it once while circling around to catch the give away, never would have made it without the auto load feature.
Guy who owned the studio would give us hell if we swapped out the film early and left empty frames.
Old school. Had to be careful not to twist or snap the back off the camera.

I thought they were good 'record' shots, and not wishing to be provocative.....but wonder why you find them "amazing"?Amazing shot’s Keith!

Easier to say than congratulations on all of your shots not being totally ruined by light leakage?
Keith
The best camera is one that still works!

How dare Davo question the brilliance of my masterpieces and consign them to the catagory of mere reportage!
I excuse his attitude because he is a Yorkshireman ... they always have a different slant on things!

Just this guy, you know?
Obviously, you already got your answer, But: I had this problem with one roll in a Mamiya 7.
Popped it in my pocket, respooled it in the darkroom, and sent it to the lab with the rest. I had some pretty major leaks, but several pictures survived (roughly half, including the last one shot -- which surprised me tremendously).
Good thing it is only 10 shots per roll, but generally I have more trouble properly loading a 35mm camera than a 120. (but you know that sooner, and you can do something about it).
