Have you ever paid an insane amount just to make a camera work

And I thought $111 I paid for getting repaired aperture of Konica III were a lot! Mind you, $43 of this were for return shipping.
 
Just spent $$ with Sherry to have my M6 classic 0.85 done: CLA and MP finder upgrade. The shutter release is like butter now, close to an M3. Just like having a good gunsmith do a custom trigger job on your favorite target pistol. And the MP finder upgrade, while not essential, is very nice. It's as good as any finder I've seen on a Leica, of any vintage. Extremely high contrast and zero RF flare.
