Although I've shot a few here and there, I'm not really into nude photography. I love the female body (believe me I do), but I think the whole nude modeling thing is so played out. If you look on a site like modelmayhem.com, you've got all these dirty old men with digicams shooting any girl who'll take her clothes off. I've heard a few horror stories and I think that turned me off to the whole thing.

Arno Rafael Minkkinen shoots himself in the nude in nature. His work is amazing in general, but I think in his case the human body is used very effectively in a photograph. I tried doing this type of work once and it's not easy. Check his stuff out.

...in other words "were you naked when shot someone?"
..."are you a naked hitman?"

1. wasn't
2. I am not

I came close, but thankfully never had to go through with it... Years ago, when I was living in a crappy apartment whilst in college and working the night shift, the landlord decided to make an unannounced visit to work on the plumbing. He didn't bother to let me know that he was coming in advance, and apparently I slept through the doorbell. I awoke mid-afternoon to hear someone rummaging around in the other room. I never did shoot him, but the sight of a buck nekkid and bleary eyed moi stumbling out of the bedroom with a pistol in hand certainly did cure him of his tendency to do maintenance unannounced.

I find nude photography to be creepy and the male "photographers" who shoot it even creepier.

In the '60s I was a healthy young boy pervert with a camera. I found many young women perverts for the camera. That was the time I guess.

Nowadays I shoot mountains, rivers, streams, rocks and critters. But underneath this indolent, craggy saggy old carcase is a creepy old pervert. My wife will tell you this. Watch out, their are lots of us out there.

Polaroid: instant results for lighting set-ups, exposure tests, and so you wouldn't have to to let someone else print those pictures of your girlfriend. :)

Yes to both, but a long time ago. What is interesting to read in the posts is the implicit prudery concerning the word 'naked', this despite that fact that there are important occasions in life when being naked is appropriate. If I was younger, I might be able to remember what they were or might be.

I've only ever taken pictures of girlfriends/partners with their knowledge (they posed etc) also video hehe :) only for our viewing though. I think its fun to have a camera handy in the bedroom

I have the Terry Richardson philosophy on photography.

In his wise words, "there is a good reason why there is a hole in the front of my pants."

yes. And it's a fond memory with no bruises. A bit of sadness when I think how much I miss her, but it's a glorious shot on so many levels. I would take serious issue with anyone who suggested people who take pictures of naked people are somehow creepy. Even if they are naked. :)

Personally, I don't see the point of it. If it's cold, it causes "shrinkage" which is embarrassing if you're a guy.

Oh, I see, you mean you shooting n'ked, not someone n'ked.

Emm...I'm trying to remember. I think so... It certainly wasn't cold.

I've done some nudes, but not nearly as many as I would like. I've got a ton of ideas, but having come from a background in commercial photography, a lot of them involve very complex setups that I just don't have the resources to make happen. Have you ever looked up the cost of building a backlit jellyfish tank? Pricey...

In all seriousness, though, probably the biggest reason I haven't done any more than I have (which hasn't been nearly enough) is just the fact that I am a chronic introvert and as such have a really hard time finding models.
