well the only native micro 4/3 glass I have is the 17mm... which i think is an almost perfect compliment to the PEN...

I also shoot on ordinary 4/3-which for all technical purposes is the same as micro 4/3 - and for that I do have some better native lenses.... just wish they made a micro version of the 12-60 which on 4/3 is superb - not sure the 50-200 would translate as well

A 12-60 would be ideal for me on the E-P2. I'd dump most other lenses except for the 20mm 1.7 which I love. The 12-60 is my ideal shooting focal length, much as the 24-70L is on the 1DsMkIII. The metadata in my files show I use the 24-70L for about 75% of my work, with the 50mm 1.4, and 70-200L the next most used lenses.

Hi Mike

Hi Mike

We went there for the first time last summer, on the way to Lake Chelan, although the kids had been there for field trips. It's an impressive Dam, on our tour it was only working at 1/2 or 2/3 capacity, but still an impressive undertaking, one of the largest ever I think.

Let me know if you haven't seen my galleries, and I'll find the link to our travel pics.

Thanks! I grew in Coulee Dam and these are the first photos I have taken in the Grand Coulee.

Voted yes but I don't use it regularly, it's what I grab on the way out the door for the "just to have a camera" moments. Although it is what got me interested in RFs' in the first place so they can't be all that bad.

Voted "yes, and I use it regulary"
I got myself an Olympus E-P1 as christmaspresent last year and that got me interested in photography again after a couple of years of hardly taking any pictures at all. I really loved the small camera and it led me to rangefinders and this forum. So now I've just bought a Bessa R4A and will set up a darkroom at home again. I like that I can use the lenses for my R4A on my E-P1 with the small adapter.

I voted no a few weeks ago, but now I'm quite seriously considering one. I was originally thinking of upgrading my Nikon D40 to a D90, but in fact I use the D40 so little that there's no point. I am now quite interested in replacing the D40 with something that has a decent kit AF lens and can be used with my M-mount lenses. Hence I've been lurking on RFF's m4/3 forums...

Test-driving an E-PL1 for three weeks or so to see if it can replace the Pentax K-x that my wife and I bought together. We wanted something with reasonable AF and movie-taking for use on the kid. Pentax was the obvious choice since, at the consumer price point, their bodies are much more interesting than Canon/Nikon/etc. and can use all my old M42 and PK lenses.

Considering micro-4/3 for a replacement if its autofocus with the kit zoom can compare to the K-x, which is good enough. So far it's holding its own. Now I'll start trying the Industar lenses on it. 🙂

I am now anxiously waiting for a GF1 to arrive in the mail. If it passes the test then the D40 will be on its way to the great big auction site on the internets!

. . . . . you will be pleasantly surprised at how much fun you will have and the quality of the pictures you will be able to produce.

street & Pen E-P2 in Sicily

street & Pen E-P2 in Sicily

What a good experience beginning September with my Oly.
Walking for hours per day near Palermo and Cefalu, the Pen together with a Panny 20mm and the standard zoom was much better to carry as my trusty D300.

For the first time I shot mainly colour.

The printed book looks really good in terms of colour and sharpness.

Thanks for viewing!

Follow-up: so far, the AF has not been a problem at all except in light low enough that it's irrelevant because I'd be dealing with too much motion blur anyway. That's where the LTM adapter and manual-focus fast RF lenses come in. And with the focus-assist and the viewfinder, holy cow is that nice. I focus way better with that than I ever did with a rangefinder.

LTM adapter finally arrived. So far, the J-8 is an absolute dream on this camera. So bright and easy to focus when it's wide open. Much better than any RF VF i've looked through.
