Have you seen a neurologist? Your balance problem should be looked into. Has your Vitamin B12 been checked recently? Deficiency in that can cause imbalance. There are other causes such as peripheral neuropathy.
Being deprived of vision as in squinting through a viewfinder means your other senses are needed to keep you steady, nerves from the feet and legs, trunk, neck and your balance nerves near the ears. Having knee joint replacements both knees can compromise balance.
Do you use a rangefinder? Keeping your left eye open and using your right eye for the viewfinder/rangefinder might allow you to keep what balance comes from vision.
Benlee's suggestion of balance exercises is correct. Balance can be improved.
A TLR is not a good idea as again your vision mediated stabilisation is severely compromised when you bend facing the ground.
A shooting stick will also be disastrous and will cause you to fall for sure, even before you raise the camera to your eye.
Could you bear to shoot with a tilt screen digital where you don't look through a viewfinder and don't raise your arms too high? This preserves a lot of your current balance inputs.

CMur: I don't go out alone, my wife is with me, thank you for your concern.
David: My blackthorn has a crutch tip on it. I reached too far forward on a wooden floor with a heavy bag in my right hand, and I fell. My wife ordered me to use her three-pod model. I have hopes of getting the blackthorn back full time.
Richard: I've been evaluated for Parkinson's, came up negative, and I was scheduled to go to rehab for balance exercises when the pestilence hit, and it's been put on hold.
Thanks to all of you again for your suggestions and thoughts and concerns. I will figure out something.
With best regards,
