I've actually considered buying this book and leafed through it a couple of times in the book shop. But I just can't be bothered with HCB's drawings. It's just me, I know.
I bought me a different book recently: Henry Cartier Bresson - Landscape, Townscape by Erik Orsenna and Gérard Macé (ISBN 0-500-54239-2). I found the texts interesting and insightful (at least for me with my limited knowledge of HCB). The 105 photos in the book gave me for the first time a largish overview of HCB's work.
I'm still at a loss why he's so venerated but he did have a good eye and he deserves at least part of the praise that came his way over the years.
