Watch your gear closely. BA is one of those more wallet (and camera gear) disappearing spots on the planet. That's one reason the one lens Q is an excellent choice with a wrist or neck strap. If you need leather jackets or other leather goods, those shops are all over the main drag in BA. You may find some really young kids playing music in the street for money, mothers on the side watching, and older street musicians, too. Good photography down at the waterfront (Puerta Madero) at the blue hour.

Oh, one thing the second photo reminds me of. If you like collecting old photos, Argentina is a total gold mine. Antique/second-hand stores often have giant bins of photos, and not 1990 snaps on Kodacolor, proper, skilled classic era parochial formal photos. So much gorgeous stuff.

I’m shocked how photography seems so prominent in the culture here. I walked by an honest to god photo lab today while out. Small storefront selling film and development in house. Been a while since I’ve seen that in the states. I have to send film accross the country at home.
