Lately I find myself lurking around webpages trying to find a bigger brother for my lonely 35/2.5... 😛
So here I see this 50 Elmar screw mount, nice, compact and collapsable.....
But then the last word got me worried a bit, would there be any chance of destroying something in my R, such as the metering cell... 😕?
Anybody has this R/Elmar combo?

Or bumping shutter when collapsed. In the Book of Gandy it is stated that the Collapsible Summicron and current Elmar can be collapsed into an R2, so an R should also be fine.

I would simply do it with care to make sure you don't hit anything in there, or if you do, you don't damage it.

I would try collapsing the lens with the shutter open on 'B', and watching through the open back of the camera first; my Russian Elmar copy lens does not collapse on my Bessa R, it hits a ledge inside the camera about 5mm before being totally collapsed.
