Just noticed a P at KEH for $299.00.Ex. with wrinkled shutter. I picked my 2nd one up there a few months ago and was pleased with its condition. I don't have any connection with KEH. This is my 1st post. Joined at the suggestion of Frank S.
The P won't last long and it's taking all my control to matching Joe's 3 P's

( im gonna attribute it to joe, and seeing a black Canon P ) im after the canons hehe
if its still avaliable when i get my refund, i might be getting it

Welcome to RFF, Butch! Don't worry about the good-natured ribbing around here, they really love me.
Butch, I've found my camera (M6), the one I've been searching for all these years!
(Butch is the fellow that I got my M6 from in trade for a Rolleiflex and 2 Canon LTM lenses.)

All this talk about control...Joe, go for number 4 now or Butch, go ahead, why not have a 3rd?

It is a pleasant place. Chevy S10 fuel pump knocked me out of a nice CLE w/lens a few weeks ago. But with a couplet of P's and M's and triple Rolleiflexes, it's all I can do to remember what film is in each one, now. Empty film boxes with magic marker memos. Think I've become hooked on Diafine and Rapid Fix. But this is the last of life for which the first was meant to be. Or at least, I justify my habit that way. But why do I have so many light meters?

There are lots worse and more self-destructive habits out there than collecting and using photo gear.

Fair Price?
Fair Price?
Is that a fair price for one with a wrinkled shutter? I haven't been looking for one long enough to know the pricing range for these yet.

Most of these shutters are wrinkled. Rare to get one that isn't.

Just my opinion. You won't find many a whole lot cheaper. I've had three, and all but this last one had wrinkles. Gandy says it's of no effect and I cannot tell the difference between the two I own, one wrinkled one not. But it's still a gamble, probably less so with KEH's return policy and reputation.

i have paid from 250 to 350.
one has a bit of a wrinkle and one has none and one has some.

I bought one at KEH, described the same way. Wrinkles, Excellent. The wrinkles are faint, a lot less than I've seen online. Processed film proved the speeds matched my fresh-CLA pair of Canon F1. One hell of a fine camera. Build like an F1.
I'd buy for sure if I didn't already have two.

You can't have just one.
That is the biggest reason I have not yet bought my first P.

I'm hoping to have the P and a Canon 7 before I go about getting more Ps, but I have to say that, based on my newest set of negatives, I'm impressed...so I may need 2 or 5 or something like that.

OK, it sounds like that may be a decent price. I've got a IIS2 on the way right now, but once my CC recovers, I'll be looking for a P to go aloong with it.

Cut/tear the end of a the film box showing the film type & number of frames to fit the hot or cold shoes ...... and just slip 'em in.
Works with most cameras ! - and you can use any old box of the correct type even if you roll your own ......

I seem to be on a "collect the numbers in the series" plan w/ Canon bodies. Now the III is on the way from Joe. Strangely enough, I still don't have a P. Perhaps if it had a number designation I'd have grabbed one.

WOOOHOOOO!!!! I GOT IT!!!!
Logged into RFF yesterday, two days after you posted the heads up and quickly went to KEH to see if it was still available. Couldn't believe it when it was still there. I just confirmed the order and shipping details so hopefully it arrives here soon! (Got to get all the way to Australia tho)
I have been trying to get my hands on one of these for the last 2 months. I have bidded on at least 5 on ebay only to get outbidded at the last second each time. I was even going nuts on the bidding for the one that sold for $690! (Glad I didn't get too carried away) For $300 I feel like I have got a bargain. Hopefully it is in good working order and I cant wait to use it. Got a Canon 50mm f1.4 waiting to be screwed on it and start firing!
I am soo excited!
If any of you experienced P users have any advice on using this camera it would be greatly appreciated!
