Thank you Bill, and your description is very understandable. I thought it might be that way, and I knew when I got the kit it would be easy enough to compare the external finder with what I could see through the M2 finder, so I'm just making noise until it appears on the doorstep. I like not having to add doo-dads to the top of the camera if I can get away with it, but it is nice to have a complete set if I need it.
I had an Elmarit 21/2.8 and used it on my M6 & M4-P years back. My finders were 28mm wide and I thought there was such a difference between the 21 finder and what I had through the internal finder.
It's rather a reverse curve that the wider you go (smaller in focal length) the impact of a millimeter or two to the coverage gets larger as a percentage of the frame. (Not sure I said that right, or understandable, sorry). Let me try it a different way. If you finder is for an 80mm lens you are pretty close to what you will get with a 75mm lens. But, when you have a finder for a 28 you will get a LOT more on the film if you are shooting with a 21mm lens.
Or at least that's how it feels to me. Perhaps I need to finish my Mountain Dew Throwback this morning.....

You're very welcome. I have to admit I agree, the lines of the M are invaded by an external finder. I used my CV 25 Snap-Shot on a Bessa L as it had a meter (I'm lazy at times) and not finder system. Worked wonderfully. I've seen several folks who use a Leica I with a CV 21 or 25 and they looked hot. My L didn't have the classic looks but it felt like it weighed nothing on my shoulder.
When you get her, take her for a spin and see what you think.
Please let us know how you make out and what you think.

I think that's mostly because of the WAY COOL lens shade.......
But yes, it does look very at home there.

So the lens deal was not a scam, as I was tempted to think, it is perfect. Free 2-day shipping is an amazing thing!

Mine just came in today. What a nice little lens! Im keeping mine on the Xpro2 for the most part, but it’s nice to be able to have an ultra wide for the M6 if need be! Thanks for the heads up! Just took a few shots in the way Home from work and I can tell it’s gonna spend some time on there! It looks a lot like the 35mm 2.8 Summaron actually.
