Heads up: Minty Canon hood for 50 f/1.8 and 35mm f/2.8

Just tried that hood on my 35/1.8, and at least eyeballing it though the shutter (on T) it looks like it just clears. But I think the front element is a bit larger yet in diameter on the 35/2.0, so I would definitely do test shots at f/2 and f/22 before shooting anything important with that lens/hood combo.

I use the rectangular 50/1.8 hood with my 35/1.8, no vignetting, and it doesn't block the viewfinder because it's well-vented. But I'm not sure it it's safe on the 35/2.0. But that's one of the rarer Canon hoods. (The 50/1.9 rectangular hood is much more common, but smaller.)

Thanks John! Looking through the shuter is a great tip!! I'll check out the rectangular hoods too!
