The sellers are all Goodwill stores, some know their stuff, some clearly don't. Off the top of my head, I think this is Goodwill Orange County, which seems to know their stuff. Tacoma is probablly the best seller. I've been outbid on everything I've tried to get, but I've had a few friends pick up some deals.
They frequently have some very interesting cameras, infrequently is there something really nice, like a Nikon RF or a Leica. Right now there's an interesting TLR folder, with an old Zeiss Jena lens.
I cringed a bit when I posted this, because it just means more people will be "on to it." However, I've realised that the secret's already out, there's a bunch of Ebayer types who buy and then resell...thus outbidding many other people.
Almost all auctions are "as is," which as you might imagine can be somewhat risky, when the person posting the auction has no experience with cameras. Like I said though, the Tacoma listings seem very well thought out, and done by somebody knowledgeable. They often have rare Nikon lenses.
