Hi,
I have a dealer friend in Manchester (UK) who presently has two very nice Canon ltm lenses for sale:-
50mm f1.4 - the legendary 50mm. Nice condition with some bright marks on the black scolloped ring, but with A1 coatings and lens surfaces - no oil on the blades, probably meets Exc+ condition - fitted skylight filter. Asking £175, but would probably haggle to £150
35mm f1.5 - another famous lens in Exc++/ Mint- condition. Some small bright marks on the black ring, but glass and coatings in superb condition. Asking £375 (ouch!) but will talk offers.
Both would come with some sort of warranty - probably 6 months if you asked nicely.
The only downside is that he does not take plastic - only cash or cheques. I have no relationship other than a satisfied customer, but would be prepared to help out as a go-between if anyone is interested.
Anyway, feel free to email him direct at: jem.kime@ntlworld.com, or call him on +44 (0)161 907 3236.

Hmm... £150... payday tomorrow, overtime bonus included... tempting, considering I'm not far from Manchester as well.
"one of the best classic 50/1.4's in LTM. Black only. Some people say the best classic 50/1.4" (http://www.cameraquest.com/ltmlens.htm)... or do I hold out for a classic Elmar 5cm?
Lemme pay off the bills first.

Not being funny, but it's kinda wasted on a Leica Standard, unless you have an external rangefinder to put on top..
Wait until tomorrow for the update on mwclassic.com and you should find the updated list of ltm lenses on there. Theres at least one Elmar at a fair price on there

Mwclassic? Could've sworn I didn't mention where I got the Standard from.Ash said:Wait until tomorrow for the update on mwclassic.com and you should find the updated list of ltm lenses on there. Theres at least one Elmar at a fair price on there
They did have a good number of 5cms in there prior to a fortnight ago. Then, all of a sudden... they're down to two. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, and them getting a flood of Elmars.

I bought my standard from them. I was also meant to buy a Summar there until SOMEONE else grabbed it before me :bang:
Regardless, they're very good value even though the not-so-live website is a little annoying at times
