A 35mm/f2 and 28mm/f2.8 are going on eBay. The 35 is in the UK and the 28 is in the USA:
Konica 35mm f/2 M-Hexanon lens (fits Leica)
Konica M Hexanon 28mm 2.8 Lens for Leica / Hexar - Mint
Konica 35mm f/2 M-Hexanon lens (fits Leica)
Konica M Hexanon 28mm 2.8 Lens for Leica / Hexar - Mint

I saw that yesterday. Very tempting. So much gear, so little money
I saw at the photo store I frequent a spanking-clean 35mm Summicron, for $695. It's tabbed! It's the 3rd version, I think. I am seriously considering selling my 35mm Ultron and my 50mm Summarit to get it. What do you think?

My M5s need red dots!
The 28/2.8 may prove to be a bargain... See, the seller won't take Paypal, which, of course, limits the playing field to those who have cash relatively ready on hand to bid for the lens. The other seller offering the 35/2 may be luckier precisely because he takes Paypal payments.
Not a bad deal in either case... These lenses are excellent quality glass. Go for them!

What does the Summarit look like?

Summarit (50mm f/1.5) CLA'd by DAG. Has the typical few cleaning marks (they are faint cleaning marks on the front element), otherwise the rest of the glass is perfect (rear element seems to be coated and immaculate); lens is very very clean; LTM. I'm leaving soon, but PM if anybody interested; I may take some pics of it tonight.

gabrielma, your PM is full. Post some pictures and and tempt me with a nice price please. I have to pay the wife's tuition (only one more semester after this one, I hope she doesn't want to go for a PhD) today and am not supposed to be buying big items, but I do have a Summarit on my ebay watch list right now and may make a GAS inspired "bad" decision.

Boy, both of those lenses would look nice sitting next to my M-Hexanon 50 and 90. Maybe I could just not eat for the rest of the month...

Ralph, you have a PM regarding a possible solution for GAS - i.e. one that won't hurt the purse that much

Eating is overrated anyway. What would you rather be, nice and slender with a lovely wide angle M-Hexanon, or fat and ugly without one?thpook said:Boy, both of those lenses would look nice sitting next to my M-Hexanon 50 and 90. Maybe I could just not eat for the rest of the month...

How would you guys compare the Hexanon 35/2 to the new Zeiss Biogon 35/2?

The 35mm sold for $932 and the 28mm for $662. Maybe we should stop talking about these lenses here...

i'm curious.
the number of people interested in this gear must be relatively small (same for canon, nikon etc).
the number who buy on ebay and follow forums might be similarly sized.
do you guys think we COULD ACTUALLY be influencing the 'market'?

With these Konica lenses you have discontinued production and a small supply, especially in the case of the 35mm. There used to be "issues" with focus accuracy which have somehow magically gone away. Now they're in demand and these prices reflect that - they're at the Leica level.
RFF is now well established with quite a knowledge base. New members often talk about how they lurked here for a while before taking the plunge with a cam or lens. It is reasonable to assume that RFF is used for research in part because we have the excellent search engine here that searches thread content and not just the title - that search engine over on PN is useless!
Is RFF an influence? I would say its been an influence for quite a while.
