Hektor 50 2.5

An design stretched to 2.5 and is uncoated so there are flare issues and general lack of contrast.

I would not want one for everday use, but for certain types of pics the rendition is beautiful as shown by the examples on this thread.

Be sure whatever you buy is clean inside. All these old lenses tend to haze up badly. They pic were done with clean lenses. Don`t believe a little haze does not hurt anything, it does. Tone rendition is the first thing to suffer, not sharpness.

I agree with Ronald M, but one has to take into consideration that removal of haze inside an uncoated lens is for a competent repairer quite easy.
As there are tree glued planes inside a Hektor these should be checked carefully before purchasing one.
