thank you, that's exactly what i needed to have n idea of how this lens works.
nice 4 and 5
i find the number 6 a little confusing, i feel with a stronger contrast it could be ok (for my eyes obiviously).

Here are a few recent ones of mine, on TriX. I really love the 50/2. It's kind of weird.

Nice! I love the definition of the first one. I think 'weird' is an appropriate description for this lens; for some odd reason.

I am very happy with it too.
All of the above are APX100 and Rodinal.

Thanks! Yes, the lens can be super sharp when it needs to...there's no sharpening at all on the scans there.

Maggie, I don't know if you ever caught this in a previous thread, but I praised your cool music gear. Nice stuff! Good pics, too.

The HC50/2 is my first Leica M-mount lens. Pretty sharp I must say.

I think it's "weird looking" too, since the design is quite modern yet the "retractability" is quite old-fashioned.

Film is the other way
Here's a couple from mine. I'm not sure what is "weird" about this lens. Personally I like it.
Both shots are Fuji NPS and scanned at 30% low res for the 'net. Full resolution shows dust particles.. almost ;D

"Weird" is a compliment! It's the bokeh, really; it's quite distinctive, at least in my minimal experience. It can look like a Van Gogh painting sometimes, as in this snap I took of some grapevines this spring:

Unlike a lot of reasonably priced lenses, it has a real "look" to it.

BTW Jan, I really like those photos--they're my kind of subject matter!

I like it too. Is this an M or LTM lens?

mabelsound - The blurry stuff seems to have spirals within spirals, it looks very nice, painterly perhaps?
I can't exactly convey what I mean but it looks good!

Yes, painterly is a good word to describe it, I think.
