Hello All,
Just subscribed at rangefinderforum!
My specials:

Big collection of about 25 Nikon rangefinders
and my lovely Plaubel Makina 67

Welcome!

How about some pix of your collection?

(The Plaubel kind of counts as a Nikon because it has a Nikkor lens, right?)

PS -- I always liked the concept of the metering system on the Plaubel: if I remember correctly, it reads "wasted" light that enters through the small rangefinder window and otherwise would be discarded by the beamsplitter. This gives a precisely-defined metering area and causes no loss in brightness; wish it had been picked up in some other RFs...

Welcome to the Nikon forum!

I had a 5-hour airline layover in Amsterdam last December and was able to take the train to the city center and spend a couple of hours roaming around with my Nikon S3. I had visited several times in the early 1980s and was pleasantly surprised that I could remember how to get around.

25 Nikon rangefinders??? NICE! Can you post some photos :)

Peter,

Welcome! It seems you will fit in very well here!

Utrecht, if I remember right the home of a beautiful church with some wonderful bells, and a staircase that is VERY long! I spent a day there a few years ago with some family friends of my wife. Beautiful city and a fun train ride from Amsterdam.

Oooh. 25 Nikon Rf's - thats gives us something to aspire too! I am only half way there. Welcome to the "black hole" of Rf nuts! Nicest group of people you will most likely encounter and the combined knowledge about both useful and arcane trivia is astonishing. We are of course all waiting for pictures of the various pieces so we can drool on our screens!

Björn.... but you are ahead of me since I am only 8% there! 25 - that is something to aspire for !??

 Around here, 25 Nikon RF cameras is a LOT. But as usual, Einstein's theory of relativity applies:D

There are collectors out there with 1000 cameras:eek: 3000 cameras:eek:  :) ;)

Of course, they won't post around here....I am sure you all know why :bang:
