Hello and the slippery slide to RF photography [repost]

I'm new to RF photography and this forum and wanted to say hello to everyone.

My slippery slide to RF photography:
  1. Become dissatisfied with the results of flash photography on my dSLR (Canon 20D).
  2. Search for a fast, existing light lens that is still wide enough (<50mm) on the smaller frame of the 20D.
  3. Look at the prices of Canon's wide L lenses then look at the contents of my wallet :(.
  4. Notice the rather styley RD-1 in a display case next to the Canon lenses.
  5. Intrigued, google to this forum to learn more about RF photography.
  6. Buy myself a CV Bessa R3a and 40/1.4 for Christmas.
  7. Start thinking about my next piece of RF gear...

Welcome again to the gang. Have you bought anything new yet? It normally takes 3 or 4 days to start.

I've found the 40/1.4 to be a very versatile lens although I have recently got the itch to pick up a 75mm as well.

I slid from a Maxxum 7 to, first, a Yashica Electro 35 GSN w/50mm1/7 (lovely warm colors), then slid further to an Olympus XA . A Kiev 4-A is on the way, and I'm wrestling with the agonizing choices still out there: Bessa R, R2, R3a, Leice M3, M4-2. All of the latter will put me on welfare, food stamps, into homeless shelters, and perhaps moving to Naco, Sonora, Mexico, a mere five miles south, where the living will provide considerably more discretionary income, though bereft of the "protection" of our Department of Homeland Security.

pukupi,
I try to become very comfortable with the equipment I have before looking forward. Unless of course that "incredible bargain" comes along that you just HAVE to HAVE.
Why does that happen so often???

I agree. One of the reasons for my initial interest in RF was the idea of using a camera that was small enough to carry all the time. Start throwing lenses in there and this is no longer the case.

I am finding the 40/1.4 to be a wonderful lens.
