Hello to alll in the rf forum. A friend told me about this site and I am happy to meet so many rf fans snd users. I recently bought a Leica IIIa and am waiting for the 50 mm Summar for it. I just shot a roll using an Indistar 61 and I am on my way to have it processed. I have been shooting mostly large format in the last year but the allure of Leica was calling me and I gave in last week. I look forward to shooting with the IIIa and seeing what I can do with it. We'll see.....

I doubt it. There is no end to cooler, newer Leicas but there is an end to my bank account. At present I have two Omega view cameras, one press view camera(Crown Graphic), a Mamiya TLR, two Minolta x-700's with motor drives and assorted lenses amd the IIIa. And my Minolta Z-1 digital. I just got two Simmons Omega D series(4x5/6x9cm/6x6cm/35mm) enlargers plus a Durst 606 (35mm) and I am in the process of setting up my darkroom. I wanted the Leica because of some Viet Nam experience with the cameras and a fondness for exceptionally well made machines. But if I am shooting for money I'll take something that puts out a larger neg.
