I live at Schalkwijkerstraat 51 zw. Drop by for a beer if you want!
For all others: zw means zwart, means black, means ground floor appartment in 'Haarlems'


So you are overlooking the curve of our homestead river. And yes indeed, here in Haarlem, number+black means groundfloor and number+red means appartement.

Maybe a good idea to once meet at the Botermarkt, that's my favorite place in Haarlem. We can have a drink at café the Gooth. Also I find it a good idea to meet -lets say- in the Vondelpark with a bunch of RF'ers.

OK. Friday afternoon about four or five, if the weather is sunny again?
Let's try to find one another by careful spotting...

It was not me being harassed in Kalverstraat. Somehow I sofar have managed not to step on any toes whilst taking pictures in public.

BTW I am game for camera fondling/picture taking/drinking beer and talking about photography (not necessary in that order).

Travelling Kiwi, just post a message a week before you are here and we should be able to set something up with a couple of people. Think it is best if we let you set the date we will assist with time/location etc.

OK LaptopRob, a gathering of a little club of people is fine to me, but I think it will then be A'dam because that's the place everyone knows. Now how do we arrange that ?

Pick a spot and I will try to get there. Friday afternoons are easier for me because of work stopping earlier.

Rembrandtsplein is always a good spot, both for beer/coke/coffee and for shooting, especially when it's sunny and people in Amsterdam go "naked". 🙂

But yeah, Rembrandstplein is quite close to my house. Doesn't detract at all that it's a good spot to meet. Leidseplein is also good (and just as near to where I live 😛 ).

OK, i have to agree, both places are very friendly and full of friendly people. Especially when you get out there with your wife and daughter🙂
Maybe Leidseplein is more touristic - or, more crowded, at least.

If it rains Vondelpark is like a mud park. Not much fun. And empty, too. Seeing the weather forecast, I think we're better off at Rembrandtsplein or Leidseplein. The latter perhaps even more so because quite some tourists go there.

Me, too, after 5pm. Gotta work.

Leidseplein seems the best place when the weather is crappy like now. There's a Burger King at Leidseplein, which makes a convenient meeting point.
