This is a reply to this thread because I can't log in over here so I can only create a new thread 🙁.
David I do like it in Madrid. In fact I love it - what a totally amazing city! After being pretty much unable to shoot in the street for months, I have gone nuts here. 🙂 The city is very vibrant with a roaring night-life and is extremely rich photographically. I'm having a ball!! 😀
With respect to last Saturday's match, I was behind the goal and the penalty looked like a penalty to me in real time, but when they replayed it a bazillion times in the stadium it looked like it deserved an Oscar for Forlan's performance. The ironic thing was that in the second half he was presented with the ball 6 yards from an open goal and managed to screw it wide, it brought back the countless times he did that at Old Trafford. If he'd scored, Villareal go up 2-0 and the game is over... Real did not play well but it was a mystical experience to see them in their own stadium, which is magnificent.
Unfortunately, I have to go home soon, very soon... 🙁 Will submit a full trip report when I get back to home base.
