Hello, I'm a newcomer

I played around with a RD1s in yodobashi (jp) and I were very impressed with its built and the way RF focused. I would like to buy one. After a bit of research, it seems Voigtlander Nokton Classic 40mm f/1.4 is a good starting lens, am I right?
I saw a switch (28-35-50mm) on the top plate of the RD1s, may I ask what'll happen if I attach the 40mm lens to it. I'm sorry if I'm asking stupid questions.

I also have difficulty in uploading profile pic. I failed to do it despite the file size is less than 100x100pixels and 100k. Any advice? Thank you!

I think that would be a great combination a few people on the forum use the 1.4 Nokton on thier RD1s.I have a slower 40mm Summicron and can confirm the 35mm framlines,in my opinion, fit the 40mm focal lenth better than my 35mm lens.

I got the 40 SC as my first lens. Lovely general purpose lens 🙂

Just switch the frame lines to 35mm to use it, best approximation. Remember that rangefinder framelines are just an indication - about 85% coverage officially according to Epson. Unlike a decent DSLR what you see is not exactly what you get, and that's true of any rangefinder...
